PROJECT MANAGEMENT SUPPORT – GARIBALDI REPUBBLICA PROJECT, MILAN

One of the largest Italian investment companies involved in coordinating the development of the strategy and the project management approach for the Garibaldi – Repubblica project (€ 1.3 billion). We coordinated and developed the project management plan, the stakeholder management plan, the communication plan, the contractual strategy, the risk processing, the project organization.

RISK SUPPORT MANAGEMENT – THE ELECTRIC BRIDGE UNDER THE STRAIT OF MESSINA

Our intervention is part of the project to build the electricity line that connects Sicily and Calabria through the world’s longest AC submarine cable, the most technological electricity infrastructure ever built in Italy.
We developed the risk management approach, developing culture and implementation tools, through the organization of one-to-one interviews with the Program Manager and Project Managers. We have developed customized risk management tools (Risk Breakdown Structure).

DEVELOPMENT OF A PMO STRUCTURE

Multinational in the Food & Beverage sector, following M&A operations, he asked us for support in organizing an internal PMO structure. Our intervention produced:

  • Creation of a “lean” PMO, involved from the initial stages in the definition and adoption of PM processes
  • Field training of Project Managers and key users, supporting them and helping them solve real problems
  • Support to PM in the creation of new projects
  • Collection of progress data, training PM and PMO members for this activity
  • Creation of the culture of the collection of progress data
  • Collection of the needs of the “main stakeholders” and implementation of the software they request

PROJECT MANAGEMENT TRAINING

In 2013 we started supporting a world leader in the FPSO (Floating, Production Storage and Offloading) sector.
Nyali’s task is to design, coordinate and provide a personalized project management training pathway worldwide (EU, USA, Brazil, Kuala Lumpur) involving more than a thousand people among project managers, project engineers and project managers.

TRAIN THE TRAINER

We have successfully developed and coordinated a Train the Trainer approach for several organizations, including a leading engineering and construction company and its Indian subsidiary, which provides:

  • Clear and consensual definition of objectives and related KPIs;
  • More PM skills for final trainees;
  • Growth of internal resources that play the role of trainer;
  • Long-term sustainability of the solution;
  • Quality of the solution, and its adherence to globally recognized standards.

DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION UPSKILLING

Within an important training project dedicated to the development of the skills of 600 junior consultants of one of the Big Four of consultancy, we dealt with the design and delivery of all the contents of effective communication (from the rationalization of the contents, to the creation of a effective document, at the elevator pitch).

Within this project, we also oversaw the organization of various Hackathons, open innovation events on projects and digitization services that involved young start-ups and end customers of strategic importance for the firm.

Nyali also oversaw all internal and external communication relating to the entire Master.

COMMUNICATION PLAN DEVELOPMENT TO SUPPORT ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE

Business continuity is the measure of how much an organization is able to manage the expected or unexpected change. In the fintech sector, in collaboration with top tier firms, we developed the internal communication plan to support the reorganization process started in 2019 and to support subsequent adaptations resulting from the covid-19 emergency, through the development of multimedia content and interactive formats , including 3D mode.

MERGER OF DIFFERENT ORGANIZATIONS: CREATING A COMMON WORK CULTURE

The process of acquiring banks in Eastern Europe created the challenge of collaborating different cultures effectively and efficiently, consolidating processes and best practices to reduce waste and maximize leverage, without hindering production and respecting the different laws and market demands of different countries.
We have supported the Client (Bank) in creating a common work culture for its multicultural employee base, through seminars aimed at spreading a group work culture within training teams to adopt a common planning and control approach through simulations and case studies of real projects.

CREATION OF A NEW SERVICE FINTECH

One of the largest European banks has started using ATMs authorized to deposit cash in its branches in Italy. This effort was managed as a project, establishing:

  • A pilot project;
  • A stakeholder analysis, for a solid communication plan;
  • A structured plan;
  • A risk analysis.

We supported the effort through training seminars on basic project management skills aimed at teams, and the facilitation of some plans and analyzes.
The design approach ensured the achievement of the desired results in compliance with the deadlines and the budget.

SKILLS IMPROVEMENT

The evolution of markets and ways of working require that employees of fintech companies are able to understand and express their leadership, in order to operate at their best.
Since 2012, for various top-tier clients in the fintech sector, we have been designing and delivering interactive webinars and present-day workshops on smart team management, situational leadership, business continuity and effective communication in digital flow to help resources develop and consolidate the ability to work in teams operating remotely and in presence.

PROGRAM MANAGEMENT FOR THE CREATION OF AN ENTREPRENEURSHIP SCHOOL

For a multinational company leader in the engineering sector, we have collaborated in the creation of a school for entrepreneurial training and start-up accelerator, through Program and Project Management activities. The aim of the initiative is to enable and support those who intend to do business in the circular economy, with the aim of positively affecting climate change processes and to contribute to decarbonisation.
The approach adopted was to optimize the integrations and synergies between the training objects in order to make them usable also in the Blended Learning experience (in presence and online), with interactive and action learning methods.

DEFINIZIONE DELLA PEOPLE STRATEGY

Leading international company in the building & home technology sector asked us to be supported in the definition of the People Strategy and in the implementation of the new Strategic Human Resources Management system, with a particular focus on Sales Experts and Vertical Men, following internal organizational changes and new business lines in the industrial, infrastructure and tertiary sectors.
The project combined the need for change with an articulated plan of interventions and the measurement of the effectiveness of HR policies (and related processes).

DESIGN THINKING FOR THE CREATION OF A SECTOR COMMUNITY

For a pharmaceutical group with over 100 years of history in the field of scientific research we have designed a communication plan and engagement of their main external stakeholders using an engaging methodology based on Design Thinking techniques.
The work team was trained on the main Design Thinking tools and were then actively involved in the design and implementation of all the creation and management phases of the first enlarged Community in the sector.
Our trainers trained at MIT in Boston.

BUSINESS COACHING AND AGILE MENTORING

For several years we have supported one of the major Italian EPC companies in the development of managerial skills in middle management. Here are some topics addressed:

WELLBEING

In support of the corporate welfare program of a leading Italian banking institution, we have designed an innovative Wellbeing plan for the physical and psychological / emotional well-being of employees forced to work smartly following the Covid-19 emergency.
It is a totally customized program in order to maximize its value creation.
The emotional / psychological support was designed in collaboration with our ICF certified coaches and our team of counselors and psychologists.
The project is the result of collaboration with the leading gym equipment and fitness solutions company and a team of nutritionists.
In support of the initiative, an important communication plan was developed. The use of a dedicated app also allows monitoring and analysis.
